     Cornelius Mastenbroek was born on 9 January 1872 in Netherlands.1 He died on 9 January 1962 in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey, (207 North First Street).1 He was buried on 12 January 1962 in Fair Lawn (Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery).1
     Cornelius Mastenbroek and Johannes Breen immigrated on the Maasdam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 18 Feb 1899. Cornelius was going to his uncle J. de Ruiter in Paterson. Johannes, with wife Adriaantje and seven children also goes to his uncle J. de Ruiter.1,2

Cornelius Mastenbroek, a retired landscaper, died on his 90th birthday yesterday afternoon in his home at 207 North First Street, apparently of a heart attack. Born in the Netherlands on Jan 9, 1872 he was the son of the late Nicholas and Katie Mastenbroek. He immigrated to Paterson in 1898 and resided here since. Prior to his retirement 17 yrs ago, he conducted the Mastenbroek and Roughgarden Landscaping Co. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at the Vermeulen Memorial Funeral Home, 131 Haledon Ave. The Rev. Joh. M. Inlanger, Jr. of the ? Methodist Church of Haledon will officiate. Interment will be in Fair Lawn Memorial cemetery.1
