Frances Siersma1

     Frances Siersma was born in 1874 in Netherlands.1 She married Kornelis Siersema on 18 May 1893 in Baflo, Groningen, Netherlands.2,1,3 Frances Siersma died on 6 May 1939 in Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey, (Hackensack Hospital).1 She was buried in Fair Lawn (Fair Lawn Cemetery).1
     Her parents were Hendrik Jans de Boer Bottema and Pilke van der Wal.2 She immigrated on the Potsdam, arriving in New York on 24 Jul 1906, with 3 children: Trientje (8), Hendrika (4) and Martha (2).1,4

Funeral services were held at Van Emburgh's Mortuary Chapel on Monday afternoon for Frances Siersman, wife of Cornelius Siersma, of 572 Broad Street, Glen Rock, who died Saturday morning, May 6, at the Hackensack Hospital, where she had been a patient for nearly 2 weeks. She was in her 65th yr and had been suffering from a heart ailment for some time. Interment was in Fair Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. Lowell C. Hine, of Warren Point, officiated.
Mrs. Siersma was born in Holland, and came to this country with her husband 33 yrs ago. After residing in Midland Park for a month they moved to Glen Rock, where their home has been ever since. Besides her husband, she leaves a son William, of Warren Point, 2 daughters, Mrs. William Prince and Mrs. E. Fisher of Hawthorne, and 3 grandchildren.1
