     Henry Shotmeyer was born on 22 May 1904 in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands.1,2 He married Charlotte Shotmeyer.1 Henry Shotmeyer died on 10 February 2005 in Wyckoff, Bergen County, New Jersey.1 He was buried on 14 February 2005 in Wyckoff (Reformed Church Cemetery).1

Henry J. Shotmeyer, 100, died Feb. 10. He was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and came to the US in 1925. He was co-founder of one of the oldest and largest gasoline and fuel-oil distributors in North Jersey, Shotmeyer Bros. Fuel Oil Company in Hawthorne. He served as chairman emeritus of the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff. He was a lifelong advocate of the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a benefactor of The Valley Hospital, Hackensack University Medical Center, the Skin Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Research & Treatment Fund, Inc. In 2000 the Stevens Institute of Technology honored him with the Charles Schaeffer Entrepreneur Award. He was a member of Silentia Masonic Lodge 168.
Surviving are a son, and a brother Albert. His wife Charlotte and a son Henry Jr. are deceased. Services were Feb. 14 at Wyckoff Reformed Church, with interment in the church cemetery.1
There are a lot of Schotmeijers in Drenthe, The Netherlands.
