Jozina M. Gerritsen immigrated with Isaac Contant and Martha Contant on the SS. Noordam, from Antwerp, arriving in New York on 27 Feb 1896, with 10 children: Johannes (18), Jannis (17), Isaak (13), Anna (19), Jannetje (15), Josina (2), Hendrika (3), Marie [sic] (7), Peter (11), and Marinus (8). They were travelling second cabin.3

All but Cornelius are born in Holland. Isaac was indexed as James!2

Jozina M. Gerritsen, 80, of 260 Oak Str. died Sunday in Valley Hospital. She was born in the Netherlands and had lived in Hackensack before moving to Ridgewood 43 yrs ago. She was a member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church. She is survived by 2 daughters, a son, a brother, Cornelius B. Contant and 6 grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow at C. C. Van Emburgh Mortuary Chapel, 206 E. Ridgewood Ave, with burial in George WAshington Memorial Park, Paramus.1
