     Pieter Geerts was born in 1929.1 He married Mary Ann Morasse.1 Pieter Geerts died on 8 January 1962 in East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey, (Veterans Administration Hospital).1 He was buried in Totowa (Laurel Grove Memorial Park).1
     Pieter Geerts immigrated in 1947.

Peter Geerts, 33, of 185 Marion Street, a veteran of the Korean War, died Monday in the Veteran's Administration Hospital, East Orange, where he was admitted a week ago. Born in the Netherlands, he came to the US in 1947, and resided in Belleville prior to coming to Paterson. He served with the Army in Korea, from 1950 to 1953, and was discharged with a rating of corporal. He was employed as a mechanic with Fette Ford Clifton, and more recently in the same capacity with Nu-Car Carriers of Metuchen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday in the Vermeulen Memorial Funeral Home, 131 Haledon Ave. The Rev. N. Robert Prits (?), pastor of the First Christian Reformed of Haledon, will officiate. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Surviving, besides his wife, are three children, all at home, his father, and a sister.1
