     Minnie Hakstege was born on 2 April 1892 in Netherlands.1,3 She died on 3 March 1975 in Westwood, Bergen County, New Jersey, (Pascack Valley Hospital).1 She was buried on 5 March 1975 in Clifton (East Ridgelawn Cemetery).1
     Minnie Hakstege immigrated with Jan W. Hakstege and Maria Hakstege on the Veendam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 28 Jul 1894, with 5 children: Jetje (11), Jantje (9), Marietje (7), Lina (4) and Mina (2). They were going to Norwalk, CT.2

Minnie Hakstege, 82, of 116 Adams Ave, died yesterday in PAscack valley Hospital, Westwood. Miss Hakstege was born in Holland, and came to teh US 80 yrs ago. She had lived in River Edge 30 years. Surviving are two sisters: Helena Hester of River Edge and Johanna Dansen of Garfield. Graveside services in East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.1
