Arie P. Hamelink immigrated with Johanna Hamelinck on the Noordam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 8 Nov 1910 with three children: Arie (10), Rachel (8) and Pieternella (11 mo), all born in Terneuzen. She was going to her husband Andras Hameling in 86 East Main Street, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey.2

In view of the names of the parents of Andries and Anna Margrietha, it seems probable that Anna Margrietha is the same as Johanna: Arie P. named after Andries' father, Rachel after Anna M's mother, Pieternella after Andries' mother, and later Marten after Anna's father. Pieternella is then prob. the surviving sister Nellie, Coba is Jacoba.

Arie P. Hamelink, 72, of 175 Cedar Ave, died Sunday in Mountainside Hospital in Montclair. Born in Holland, Mr. Hamelink had lived in Hawthorne for 43 years. He had been een stationary fireman for Gatys Silk and Piece Dye Works in Paterson until his retirement. Mr. Hamelink was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hawthorne. Surviving, besides his wife, are a daughter Marion Geary of Midland Park, and two sisters: Nellie Bush of Fair Lawn and Jacoba Beinman of Toms River. Services were today in the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Ave., with burial in Laurel Grove Cemetery.1
