William B. Prophet, 80, of Saddle River, died on February 10. Mr. Prophet was the controllerof the Hotel Astor, New York for 26 yrs until its closing in 1966. He then became controller of Caneel Day Plantation, St. John, United States Virgin Islands, until his retirement in 1968. He lived in Glen Rock for 26 yrs, before moving to Saddle River upon retirement. Surviving are a daughter and 3 grandchildren. Mass will be said tomorrow at the R.C. Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River. Burial will be in Maryrest Cemetery, Darlington.1
