     Henry Ritsma was born on 11 May 1913 in Murmerwoude, Dantumadeel, Friesland, Netherlands.1 He married Joyce Ritsma on 6 July 1939 in Dantumadeel, Friesland, Netherlands.2,1 Henry Ritsma died on 13 December 1998 in Lakewood, Jefferson County, Colorado.1,3 He was buried in Paramus (George Washington Memorial Park).1
     His parents were Willem Ridsert Ritsma and Sijtske Klok.1 He and Joyce Ritsma immigrated in 1957.2 Henry Ritsma was a carpenter.2 He and Joyce Ritsma lived in 317 North 11th Street, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey.2

A family of six from the Netherlands was among 173 foreign nationals sworn as United States citizens yesterday before Judge Stanley J. Polack in Passaic County Court in Paterson. Immigration and court officials described the group as the biggest in 10 years.
George and Joyce Ritsma and their children Patricia, Susan and George of 317 North 11th Street, and a married daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Faber of 21 13th Street, Haledon, were complimented in court by Judge Pollack.
Arriving in Paterson 9 years ago from the Netherlands, George Ritsma continued his trade as a carpenter. "It was a most joyous occasion for us today," Mrs. Ritsma said after the family participation in the American citizenship ceremonies.
