Rense Halma1

Rense Halma was born on 2 July 1853 in Ferwerderadeel, Friesland, Netherlands.1,2,3 He married Johanna Halma in 1883.2 Rense Halma died on 22 November 1917 in Passaic County, New Jersey.1
His parents were Kornelis Renzes Halma and Wytske Eelkes Terpstra.3 He immigrated on the Amsterdam, from Rotterdam, arriving 11 Oct 1881 in New York.4 He was a dry goods peddler in 1900, and a silk winder in 1910.5,2

Household consists of Rense, his wife Johanna and six children: Cornelius (23), Alex (19), Lena (16), Jennie (14), John (10) and Raymond (9), all born in NJ. They have 9 living children.2

saw fit to take from our side my beloved husband and the children's caring father Rense Halma at the age of 64 years, 4 month and 20 days.
