Leonard Cronk was born in June 1861 in Netherlands.1,2 He married Ida Rosenboom in 1883.3,1,2 Leonard Cronk died on 29 August 1939 in Midland Park, Bergen County, New Jersey, (Vreeland and Highland Ave).3 He was buried on 31 August 1939 in Ridgewood (Valleau Cemetery).3

Household consists of Leonard, his wife Ida and three children: Minnie (22), Lambert (18) and Abraham (16). Minnie is a weaver, and Lambert a carpenter.4 Leonard Cronk and Ida Cronk appeared on the 1920 census in 75 Vreeland Ave, Midland Park, Bergen County, New Jersey, their son Bert (28), a carpenter.1

Leonard Cronk, father of Plumbing Inspector John L. Cronk, of this Village, passed away peacefully at his home, Vreeland and Highland Avenues, Midland Park, on Tuesday morning, Aug 29, after a short illness. He was in his 80th year, and had lived in the Borough since he was 12, when he came with his parents to the US from Holland.
Mr. Cronk had been an railroad engineer in his early life, then a stationary engineer, and his last employment was in the LaFavorite Rubber Manufacturing Plant at Hawthorne. Funeral services will be held this afternoon from the house and from the First Holland Reformed Church with interment to follow in Valleau Cemetery. The Rev. A. A. Schermer will officiate. He is survived by his widow Ida Rosenboom Cronk, a brother Garry of Hilldale, and four children: John L. of Ridgewood, Mrs. Minnie Brokenshire of Lyndhurst, Bert Cronk of Ridgewood and Abram Cronk of Midland Park, and 11 grandchildren.3
