     Ype Kuipers was born on 12 August 1872 in Menaldumadeel, Friesland, Netherlands.1,2 He married Aukje Glass.1 Abe Cooper died on 10 June 1956 in Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey, (Paterson General Hospital).1 He was buried on 12 June 1956 in Fair Lawn (Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery).1
     Ype Kuipers and Arjen Kuipers immigrated on the Maasdam, arriving in New York on 31 May 1893, together with Arendtje Kuipers. Arjen and Upe are going to New York, Arendje to Paterson (Last name is transcribed as Kunpers).3 Abe Cooper arrived on the Nieuw Amsterdam on Sep 25, 1911, from Rotterdam. He was a non-immigrant alien, going home to NJ (town not readable, transcribed as Bucktown) He had been here earlier: 1893. Occupation: Butcher. Town of birth: Maisum. He has a sister G. Mulder in Deinum.4

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Chapel of The Holland Home, 110 Iowa Ave., Paterson for Abe Cooper, retired dairyman. Mr. Cooper, who resided at the home, died Sunday morning in the Paterson General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 83 yrs of age. Born in the Netherlands, he had been a resident of Wyckoff for 65 years, where he had conducted a dairy at the Lafayette Avenue extension of Wyckoff. Surviving are his wife, the former Aukje Glass, 2 sisters, Mrs Mathilda Faber of Paterson, and Mrs Johanna Lautenback of the Netherlands and several nieces and nephews. The Rev. G. O. Peterman, pastor of the People's Park Reformed Church officiated at Tuesday's services, which were followed by interment in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.1
