     Arjen Kiviet was born on 5 February 1872 in Het Bildt, Friesland, Netherlands.1,2 He married Carrie Vanderhorn.1 Orie Kievit died on 22 January 1939 in Park Ridge, Bergen County, New Jersey.1 He was buried in Ridgewood (Valleau Cemetery).1
     Arjen Kiviet immigrated on the Werkendam on 22 Apr 1892, from Rotterdam. He is a laborer, going to Paterson, NJ.3,4 He lived in 1908 in 245 Highwood Ave, Ridgewood, Bergen County, New Jersey.5 He was a laborer.6 He and Carrie Kievit lived in Van Buren Street, Ridgewood, Bergen County, New Jersey.1

Orie Kievit, for many years a resident of Ridgewood, died on Sunday afternoon, Jan 22, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jean Loghe of Park Ridge, with whom he lived for the past 2 yrs. He had been ill for about 4 months. Funeral services were held at the Park Ridge Home, the Rev. Henry D. Cook, of the Paramus Reformed Church, officiating. Interment was in Valleau. Mr. Kievit was born in Holland on February 5, 1871, and came to this country about 50 yrs ago. He immediately made his home in Ridgewood, his residence having been on Van Buren Ave until about 2 yrs ago. For a number of years he was caretaker on the estate of Robert H. Burnside, the well-known theatrical producer, on North Maple Ave. He was a member of the Paramus Reformed Church. Surviving are his mother Jennie of Ridgewood, three brothers: Rench and Barney of Ridgewood, and Jasper of Middletown, NY, two sisters: Lena Jacobs of Ridgewood and Mary Lango of Cleveland OH, three sons: Tice of Midland Park, Robert of New York City and Garret of Allendale, and six daughters: Jean Loghe of Park Ridge, Eva Zabriskie of Ramsey, Elsie Landgraf, Carrie Kaplowitz and Edith Williams, all of Allendale.1
